My first ever portrait. The proportions deviate a fair bit from the source, but I'm really happy with the overall look.

Mixed feelings on this one. Capturing subtle colour changes without losing the contrast is tricky. It's too soft, somehow.

A few takeaways from this exercise. 1. Don't minimize the forehead! 2. Everything looks much worse before adding the eyes 3. Conversely, the eyes 'pop' a bit too much 4. Could do with a freckle brush
